History

PT Sanggar Sarana Baja (SSB) is a company engaged in the manufacture of equipment for oil & gas, mining and power generation, transport equipment, component remanufacture of heavy equipment and provides welding & machining services on-site.

This activity continues today, though much of that work now is performed at mining sites.

1977 : Born in Jakarta on March 19, 1977, major task is to manufacture attachment for heavy equipment related to CAT products - for Trakindo Utama.

1983 : Diversification of our market segments started in 1983, when opportunities were pursued to support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Power Generation industries.

2001 : Established two new divisions called SSBS (Site Services Division) and SSBR (Remanufacturing Division) that focusing in product utilities and services in the area of Mining, Oil & Gas Industry.

2002 : PT SSB acquired the key assets of PT Porter Rekayasa Utama, a transportation equipment manufacturing company known as PRU, and established new division called SSBT (Transport Equipment Division).

2009 : Sanggar Sarana Baja Remanufacturing Division (SSBR) has completed its 55000sq. meters expantion facility in Kariangau - Balikpapan and officially start operation in 11 February 2010.

2010 : SSBS has completed its Welding Shop facility in Kuala Kencana, to serve Freeport, and other customers.

2011 : PT SSB established a subsidiary under the name of PT Prima Wiguna Parama (PWP) to manage material handling for equipments related to energy industry.

2012 : Launching the new logo of PT Sanggar Sarana Baja

2014 : SSB restructured its organization in order to achieve its vision to become a prominent engineering service company.

Today, PT SSB has over 1500 skill full worker, working in two operating Bussiness Unit: Industrial & Tranports Equipment(ITE) Bussiness and Service Bussiness.
